I’ve been painting with watercolors and acrylics for over fifty years!

My adult interest in fine art began with a decorative art course at U.C. Berkeley, leading to a minor in art.  While raising my three daughters I continued my art studies with classes in drawing, painting, and printmaking in Marin County.
In watercolors and water-based acrylics I find the freedom that only water and brushes can bring. Of the many excellent teachers I’ve had, I’m especially thankful for Gil Wheat, who taught me what a wonderful experience being outdoors painting is.  The multitude of colorful locations in Mairn and Sonoma counties provide exiting challenges as the scenes change hour by hour and season to season.

When I’m not painting I enjoy hiking, being a docent at China Camp State Park, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
